Support Groups
Support Groups at Gaylord
• In rehabilitation, there is nothing that can take the place of peers with similar experiences. They can provide knowledge, insight, reassurance and encouragement of incredible value. Look at Gaylord’s range of support groups and you’ll see proof of this. Each provides a setting for people to join together, talk through issues, learn about advancements, and encourage each other.
• Gaylord sponsors many support groups that provide ongoing education and camaraderie for people with various disabilities or health concerns. Some groups, however, are more pertinent to our inpatients and their families. These groups are indicated in the listing. If you are interested in attending a group meeting, please call the contact person to confirm meeting time and location.
All affected by these health conditions are welcome to attend the support groups.

Spiritual Care
- Chaplain Visitation
Hospitalizations can be a traumatic experience as patients are challenged by their illness at the same time they are separated from their supportive communities. Our chaplains offer religious, spiritual and emotional support for patients and families of all faith backgrounds and no faith background at all.
(203) 741-3345 - Friday Prayer Services, 4pm
Prayer Services are held every Friday in the Hope Chapel (Jackson Ground Floor) at 4pm. Our chaplains facilitate the service much like a small group. In the service patients are invited to discuss their experience of prayer. At the end of the service the chaplain offers a blessing of health and peace for all participants. The service is open to all faith traditions. Patients, family members, friends, staff and community members are welcome. - Eucharistic Ministry
