WALLINGFORD, CONNECTICUT, July 25, 2024 – Gaylord Specialty Healthcare, a rehabilitation-focused nonprofit healthcare system headquartered in Wallingford, is pleased to announce that it has received $25,000 in grants to provide high-quality bedside and group music therapy sessions for hundreds of Gaylord Hospital patients recovering from life-altering neurological injuries and illnesses.
The grants include $5,000 from Connecticut Community Foundation, $10,000 from The Lutheran Foundation for Long-Term Living, and $10,000 from SpringRiver Private Foundation Trust.

“By providing music therapy, we can improve the recovery of memory and function for Gaylord patients, many of whom are recovering from stroke and traumatic brain injury.”
