BY JOHN MCKENNA Republican-American June 12, 2020 WALLINGFORD — Linda Figlewski of Harwinton defied the odds Friday when she walked out of Gaylord Specialty Heathcare and into the arms of her son, Brett, for an embrace celebrating a victory over COVID-19. A month earlier, Figlewski was admitted to Gaylord, a long-term rehabilitation hospital, after spending 52 days on a ventilator at Charlotte.
