Gaylord Specialty Healthcare’s Work Conditioning Program is designed to support injured workers by offering a structured, goal-oriented approach to rehabilitation, focusing on building strength, endurance, and functional abilities tailored to the demands of an injured worker's job, ultimately ensuring a smooth return to work.

By addressing both physical and task-specific needs, Gaylord’s team of care providers helps workers regain confidence and minimize the risk of re-injury. Originally available through our four outpatient physical therapy locations, we’re proud to announce the expansion of our Work Conditioning Program to our Wallingford, CT campus, bringing this transformative resource to even more individuals in need.

Job-Specific Strength and Endurance Training: Every patient receives targeted exercises designed to simulate the physical requirements of their job.

Focused Physical Therapy: Patients participate in therapy sessions lasting 3 - 4 hours per day, 3 days a week, ensuring consistent progress in their recovery.

Care Manager Updates: Weekly updates and progress reports from care managers are provided to the carrier.

Real-World Simulations: By mimicking workplace tasks, patients build confidence and ensure their readiness for the challenges of their role.

Comprehensive Support: From injury education to injury prevention strategies, our program aims to reduce the risk of re-injury and promote long-term success.
