WALLINGFORD, CONNECTICUT, May 6, 2022 — Gaylord Specialty Healthcare is enrolling students for its newly launched Certified Nursing Assistant Academy.
The program is a robust, in-person, active learning experience held entirely at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford that will prepare students to take the Connecticut Certified Nursing Assistant certification examination. Students may be eligible for immediate employment after successful course completion.
Registrations are open for a five-week summer session from June 13 to July 15, and a seven-week fall session from August 29 through October 15. Class sizes are limited; to learn more and apply, visit www.gaylord.org/cna.
Led by a registered nurse with assistance from a certified nursing assistant, students will receive classroom, simulation and clinical training experiences within Gaylord Hospital. Students will be exposed to a diverse team of experienced staff and will gain hands-on experience in the care of patients with complex medical needs.
The program instruction is provided at no cost, however students are required to purchase books, scrubs, and pay fees for medical clearance, background checks, and the Connecticut Certified Nurses Aide Exam.
