WALLINGFORD, CONNECTICUT, October 5, 2022 — Gaylord Specialty Healthcare, a nonprofit rehabilitation-focused healthcare system headquartered in Wallingford, was again named a “Top Workplace 2022” by Hearst Connecticut Media, ranking third among large companies in Western Connecticut for the second consecutive year.
Gaylord was also honored with the region’s “Top Workplace Training Award” for its commitment to providing ongoing formal employee training and educational opportunities.
The Top Workplace awards are designated using employee feedback gathered from a third-party survey administered by research partner Energage, LLC, a provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. The anonymous survey measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution and connection.
With only 59 companies in Fairfield, Litchfield and New Haven counties making the 2022 list, Gaylord President and CEO Sonja LaBarbera said the recognition for a second consecutive year is a testament to Gaylord’s patient- and employee-centric culture.
