At 16 years old, Nathan Dong has learned that life can change in an instant.

Dong, a junior honors student at Southington High School, was in his parents’ bedroom on Nov. 23, 2021, playing a video game when a terrible headache came on and suddenly he couldn’t feel anything on his right side.

“I thought I was dying,” Dong said.
