Gaylord’s medical doctors are well-known for their decades of experience as physical medicine and rehabilitation doctors, also called physiatry. These specialists look at the whole person for solutions using non-surgical and non-narcotic rehabilitation-based relearning methods or finding modified ways to return to active life. Neuropsychology/Counseling
Neuropsychological assessment is often needed when a medical condition or injury has affected a person’s memory or executive functioning skills.
Grieving the loss of one’s physical or mental capabilities following a life-changing event is a natural part of adjusting to life after a serious illness or injury. Counseling with a licensed clinical social worker can help you proceed through your healing journey.
A referral from your doctor is needed for both neuropsychology and counseling.
